To mark 100 years since Salford was granted city status, 100 groups and individuals have selected objects and artworks from the museum’s collection that reflect the city’s story. Free to visit at Salford Museum & Art Gallery.

Peel Park, The Crescent

This display brings together work from the University Art Collection, material from the University Archives, and new work by staff from the School of Art Media and Creative Technology. Created to mark the city’s 100th anniversary in 2026, it celebrates the role of makers and making in Salford’s past and present.

Pendleton

This exhibition brings together photographs of Salford from 1977. Presented at Height Library, the exhibition links past and present views of Salford as part of an ongoing documentary project celebrating the city and its people.

Working Class Movement Library

The Working Class Movement Libary (WCML) is part of the General Strike 100 national partnership of museums libraries, archives and history groups, coordinated by the General Federation of Trade Unions. WCML will be opening a new exhibition to mark the anniversary of the General Strike in May.
