Songs of Salford

To mark 100 years of the city, Salford-based creative producers From the Other want to create a new body of music that reflects life in the city in 2026.

From The Other have invited music producer and songwriter, Charlie Deakin-Davies, to undertake a city residency; getting under the skin of the city of today, exploring its people’s history, and working with a range of collaborators to create new songs that celebrate the character of Salford: Strategy, Salo, The Thirsty Poet, Che3kz, Meduulla and Sam Seth.

Part of Salford 100, celebrating one hundred years of our city. Taking place across all of Salford and finishing with a fantastic finale this autumn.
