Tysh Harper

Salford-born prop, Tysh Harper began her rugby journey at just 15, taking her first steps into the sport at Eccles RFC. What started as local weekend training quickly became a defining passion, and Tysh’s talent soon carried her beyond her hometown.

Her first experience of top-level rugby came at Firwood Waterloo RFC, and Tysh continued her rise at Loughborough, balancing her studies with the increasing intensity of her rugby career. She not only earned a degree in Psychology, but also cemented her place in the Loughborough Lightning squad, showcasing the commitment and resilience that would soon propel her to national attention.

Having represented England at U20 level, Tysh’s determination paid off when she caught the eye of Red Roses coaches. In November 2019, she earned her first senior England call-up - an incredible achievement that highlighted both her potential and her unwavering drive.

In 2022, ahead of her anticipated move to Sale, Tysh was selected for the England squad for the Six Nations. But sport can be unforgiving, and a serious achilles injury forced her to withdraw. The setback delayed her debut at her new club, but true to her character, Tysh refused to let it define her. Her recovery became yet another example of the strength and perseverance she continues to inspire in others.

Tysh finally made her long-awaited Sharks debut in November 2023, and since then she has become a permanent and powerful presence in the Sharks front row. Her journey from local club pitches to elite competition is a testament not only to her talent, but also to her resilience, discipline, and unshakeable belief in following her dreams.

Tysh stands as a role model for young players across Salford and beyond, proving that no matter your starting point, passion and determination can take you further than you ever imagined.
