Keri Muldoon
Volunteer and community champion
If there’s one person whose presence can lift an entire neighbourhood, it’s Keri. She is a whirlwind of positivity whose passion for helping others has made a remarkable difference across her community, and whose dedication has made her a beloved figure in her neighbourhood.
Keri has been a driving force behind events and initiatives that bring people together. Whether she’s hosting joyful Jubilee celebrations for residents of local sheltered housing, organising vibrant fun days in Green Grosvenor Park, or community collections that support local families during tough times. She brings warmth, creativity, and connection to every project she’s involved with.
Her involvement spans a wide range of organisations, including the Manchester International Factory Academy, GM Cultural Ambassadors Network, Lowry Show Selectors, Salix Homes Customer Committee, GM Flood Group, Friends of the Earth, and Eden Communities. Keri is a passionate advocate for free access to arts and culture, ensuring everyone can take part and through these roles, she champions access to arts, culture, community safety, and environmental awareness - always finding new ways to bring opportunities, resources and information back to her neighbours.
On top of her volunteer work, Keri serves as a careers officer at the Broughton Trust, helping young people access jobs, and she also works as a much-loved lollipop lady at a local school.
Those who nominated her for the Salford Heroes series describe her as “a true community champion” and someone who fully embodies the Spirit of Salford. Her kindness, commitment, and tireless energy continue to inspire everyone around her.
