Wagon Train: Celebration of Green Spaces - Seedley Pavilion
A line-up celebrating 10 years of Age Friendly Salford and Dementia Awareness Week, and the 150th anniversary of Buile Hill Park:
• Performances from local musicians, including the Seedley Salford Strummers, The Dove and the Dragon and Gideon Conn,
• Drop-in croquet tournament,
• Free workshops including banner making with artists Chris Alton and Emily Simpson; badge-making with Salford Badge Club using historical images,
• Cardboard Catwalk with artist Lisa Gort: create your own nature-inspired cardboard look and showcase your outfit on the Wagon
• Informal history table displaying archival photographs of Buile Hill Park, Seedley Pavilion, and Eccles Old Road, courtesy of the historians behind the Eccles Old Road website,
• 45 minute intermission including an optional sound healing and guided meditation from Radiance Reiki,
• Temperance (sober) bar
Co-created with Seedley and Weaste local community groups and neighbours including Growing Togetherness CIC and Friends of Buile Hill Park. Hosted by Jenny Gaskell.
Access information:

• There is no car parking onsite
• Seedley Pavilion is situated at the top of a steep incline
• Toilets are situated in the Seedley Pavillion, accessible portaloos will also be available on site
• There will be a pop up refreshment stand serving coffee, snacks and ice cream. We recommend bringing your own picnic for more substantial food
• This event is drop-in, and you can come and go as you wish. There will be a 45 minute intermission (break) from musical acts between 7pm and 7.45pm. All participatory activities are voluntary.
