Salford Pride: The Pink Picnic

Celebrate LGBTQIA+ artists, performers and community as The Wagon Train rolls into Salford Pride’s Pink Picnic. From 2:30pm - 7:30pm, The Wagon Train stage will be packed with family-friendly music acts from Salford, and a drop-in yoga session. Programmed by Salford Pride.

This event marks 15 incredible years of Pride in Salford, with headliners Boney M, Baby D, The Cheeky Girls, Booty Luv / Big Brovaz, and Drag Race royalty Paige Three and Season 6 winner Kyran Thrax. Expect local community acts, a bigger and brighter Youth Zone, community stalls, market traders, and the super popular dog show.

Access:

• Visitors with a disability can use the car park in front of Salford Museum and Art Gallery (M5 4WU) or Delaney Car Park (M5 4RB). These are pay and display and cost around £2.50 for a three-hour stay.

• There is wheelchair access around the park, and the address of the park is - Peel Park, Crescent, Salford, M5 4WU

• Please note: the ramped access at the southern end of the park (behind the museum) is long and steep, and may not be suitable for some wheelchair users. There is an alternative wheelchair-accessible ramp adjacent to the University of Salford student residences in the north-west of the park.

• Paths across and around the park are level and well surfaced, and most areas are accessible by wheelchair, including both footbridges across the river and the riverside path.

On-site accessibility support includes:

• Dedicated accessible entry and queue

• Wheelchair-friendly toilets across the event site

• BSL interpreters on the main stage

• Accessibility champions on hand to help with any issues

Throughout the day there will be a number of food vendors where visitors can purchase a range of food and drink options.
